OVERVIEW

This Engineer becomes a Barista is a text-based cozy business sim. Players step into the shoes of a retired computer engineer who became a barista, creating unique and flavorful drinks, selling them to customers with distinct preferences, managing employees to elevate the shop into the hottest spot in town, and seeking the happiness of running a coffee business.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES

Worked with the developer Leslie Zeng and my partner Sophie Li to QA and UX test her game as part of the class ‘Game and Players’ with David Frisch a previous Naughty Dog Expert QA and UX Researcher.

• Write Informal Heuristic Reports to improve the gameplay and UI
• Hosted several playtests (as both Facilitator and Observer) to collect data
• Compile player feedback and write up observations in reports,
• Create suggestions based on the player data from the perspective of a Game Designer
